As September 9th nears, teams continue to make moves. Here are some of the most recent NFL transactions.
Zay Flowers
Zay Flowers signed a 4-year, $160 million contract with the Baltimore Ravens on August 4th, 2026. His deal includes $108 million in guarantees, and an AAV of $35 million. This contract replaces his upcoming fifth-year option.
This contract will make Flowers the fourth-highest (T) paid wide receiver, having the same contract value as Minnesota’s Justin Jefferson. Jaxon Smith-Njigba (SEA, $168,600,000), Ja’Marr Chase (CIN, $161,000,000), and Drake London (ATL, $141,054,000), precede Jefferson and Flowers in contract value.

Only taking the number into consideration, they look like similar athletes; however, Jefferson’s season was hindered in 2023 due to a hamstring injury, and the Vikings’ quarterback room in 2025 altered his ceiling. While many would say that Jefferson is, subjectively, the better receiver, Flowers’ contract paces with the increasing salary cap.
Stefon Diggs
32-year-old Diggs signed with the Washington Commanders on August 5th. Insiders claim that the former Patriots receiver is headed to DC on a 1-year, $12 million deal. Before returning home to the DMV area, Diggs played for the Minnesota Vikings, Buffalo Bills, Houston Texans, and New England Patriots.
In the 2017 NFC Divisional Playoff game between the New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings, Diggs saved the organization by a game-winning touchdown. His contribution would go on to be called the Minneapolis Miracle. Last season, Diggs was able to play in Super Bowl LX, yet the Patriots ultimately lost to the Seahawks 29-13.

Bijan Robinson
Officially signing on Wednesday morning, Atlanta Falcons Running Back Bijan Robinson agreed to a 3-year, $75 million deal. The terms include $51 million in guarantees ($37 million at signing), and an AAV of $22.25 million.
This deal makes Robinson the highest paid running back in the NFL, leading other carriers like Jonathan Taylor (IND), Saquon Barkley, and Christian McCaffrey in pay.
Robinson set the NFL record for the most scrimmage yards for a player under 24 (5,605), passing McCaffrey’s former mark of 5,443. Within the organization, Robinson has set single-season scrimmage yard records and single-game rushing milestones.
