On Sunday, March 29th, 6 Notre Dame played 1 Connecticut at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. The Huskies remained strong throughout the entire game, ultimately beating the Fighting Irish by 18 points. South Bend’s Hannah Hidalgo, however, scored 22 points and finished the season with a record-breaking 202 steals. UConn will play South Carolina in the Final Four.
Later on Sunday, March 29th, 3 Duke played 1 UCLA at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. Duke led by eight points going into the second half, yet the Bruins stepped up and beat the Blue Devils by 12 points. UCLA’s Lauren Betts and Angela Dugalic added 38 points to their score. UCLA will play Texas in the Final Four.
On Monday, March 30th, 2 Michigan played 1 Texas at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. The Longhorns were dominant the entire game, outscoring the Wolverines by 13 points in the first half. Texas maintained their momentum throughout the second half, beating Michigan by 36 points. Texas will play UCLA in the Final Four.
Later on Monday, March 30th, 3 TCU played 1 South Carolina at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. While the Horned Frogs remained competitive throughout the first three quarters, the Gamecocks sealed the game by scoring 29 points in the last quarter. South Carolina will play Connecticut in the Final Four.
